LIGHTS. SPEED. LEVELS. AND A MUTE BUTTON.

Thoson Blitz™

Thoson Blitz™

I bought this hoping it would survive one car ride. We are three weeks in and it still lives in his backpack. The lights come on, he smacks them down as fast as he can, and then he flips it over and pushes the back cover to go up a level. He keeps trying to beat his own number. What actually sold me is the sound button. I turned it all the way down at the restaurant and he did not even notice, he just kept playing. That has never happened with a toy that lights up.

Every Level Gets Faster. Every Round Pulls Them Off the Screen.

Bubbles light up at random and your child has to press them down before the timer runs out. Clear the round, flip it over, push the raised cover on the back, and the next level starts faster. Hit the mode switch and the game changes: now the lights show a pattern and they have to press it back in the right order. It is the pull of a phone game with nothing to unlock and no screen to hand over.

The One With a Mute Button

Every light-up toy in this category has one job, which is to be loud. Blitz has a sound button right on the front. Turn it down in the car, off at the restaurant, all the way up in the backyard. Your child keeps playing either way and you get your afternoon back.

Levels, Not a Two-Day Fidget

Most bubble toys get popped for a weekend and then live under a car seat. Blitz keeps them racing a clock that speeds up every time they clear a round, so there is always a number to beat. That is why it survives past the first weekend.

Two Games in One Hand

Hit the mode switch and it stops being about speed. The bubbles light up in a pattern and your child has to press it back in the same order, one longer every round. Same toy, completely different kind of concentration.

It Gets Passed Around

One kid plays it alone with headphones on. Two kids pass it back and forth trying to beat each other's round. It sits in one hand, drops into a bag, and works on a plane, in a waiting room, or in the back seat.

No app, no charging cable, nothing to read first. Three steps, and they will have the whole thing worked out before you finish this sentence.

  • 1. Turn It On, Pick a Mode

Power button, then the mode switch. Speed round or memory round. The sound button sets the volume for wherever you happen to be.

  • 2. Press the Lit Bubbles

Bubbles light up at random and the clock starts. Push them down as fast as they come. Run out of time and the round resets.

  • 3. Push the Back to Level Up

Clear a round and flip it over. The raised cover on the back is the confirmation button, and the next level runs faster.

The Light-Up Toy That Turns Down

You already know how this normally goes. The gift gets opened, it starts beeping, and within a day it has quietly moved to the top of a closet where nobody can reach it. Blitz has a sound button on the front, so it lives at whatever volume the room can handle. Loud in the backyard, off in the car, somewhere in between at home. That is the difference between a toy that gets played with and a toy that gets hidden.

What They Reach For Instead of Your Phone

The restaurant, the waiting room, the back seat on hour three. These are the moments the phone comes out, and you can feel them coming before they arrive. Blitz gives your child the same thing a phone game gives them, which is lights, speed, a score and one more try, with nothing to unlock and nothing to swipe. It sits in one hand and drops into any bag. We are not anti-screen. We are pro having something else to hand over.

The One More Try Loop, Without a Screen

The reason a phone game is hard to put down is not the screen. It is the loop. A short round, instant feedback, a number that went up, and the feeling that the next one will go better. Blitz runs that same loop in your child's hands with lights and silicone instead of glass. They lose a round and immediately want another. They beat their level and come find you to show it. Same pull, nothing to unlock, nothing to scroll past, and a volume button you control. That is the whole idea.

One Game, Four Places It Saves You

The value of a small toy is not what it does on the living room floor. It is the specific moments where it stops you reaching for something else. These are the four that come up over and over, and they are the reason it stays in the bag instead of the toy bin.

      The Restaurant Table

Sound off, game on, and the meal actually happens. This is the moment most parents buy it for, and the one the mute button was made for.

      The Back Seat

Hour three of a drive. Something with lights and levels in their hands beats the argument about whose turn it is with the tablet.

      check_circle
      The Waiting Room

Doctor, dentist, airport gate. It comes out of a bag in one second and it needs no signal, no charger and no download.

      The Other Kid

It gets handed over. One plays, one watches and counts, then they swap and try to beat the number. That is a whole afternoon.

      • I Stopped Handing Over My Phone at Dinner

We have a no phones at the table rule and I was the one breaking it, because I needed twenty quiet minutes. I bought this on a whim. He plays it with the sound off for the whole meal now and I actually eat while my food is warm. I ordered a second one for the car.

        Callum R., Dad of 2

      • Six Bubble Toys Later, This One Lasted

I have bought about six of those bubble popping toys and every one of them was finished in a weekend. This one is different because the levels keep climbing, so he keeps trying to beat himself. It has been a month and it still lives on his desk. The silicone still snaps back the same.

        Winona B., Mom of 1

      • It Survived a Six Hour Flight

We took these on a six hour flight and I never handed over my phone once. I bought two so they each had one, and they spent half the flight comparing levels instead of kicking the seat in front of them. A flight attendant stopped to ask where I found them.

        Emeka O., Dad of 2

Watch Give Me Your Phone Turn Into One More Level

        • Speed Rounds That Climb

Press the lit bubbles before the round runs out, then push the raised cover on the back to move up to a faster level.

        • A Memory Mode Too

Switch modes and the bubbles light up in a pattern your child has to press back in order, one longer every round.

        • Volume You Control

A sound button on the front turns it down or off completely, so the game fits the car, the table, or the backyard.

        • Built to Get Thrown in a Bag

An ABS shell with soft silicone bubbles, shaped to sit in one hand and wipe clean when it comes back out.

The Gift You Can Wrap in Ten Seconds

If you are buying for a kid you do not know well, this is a low risk bet. There is nothing to assemble, nothing to explain, and nothing that only lands if they happen to be into a particular thing. You hand it over, they press one lit bubble, and they have understood the entire game. It fits a gift bag, a stocking, a party favor pile and a suitcase. Pick a character, add batteries, done. One tip, buy two if there are siblings, because otherwise you will spend the afternoon refereeing.

A Game With Levels vs. Another Two-Day Fidget

See why parents choose a handheld game with a mute button over one more bubble toy that ends up under the car seat.

          Questions Parents Ask

          check_box

Can you turn the sound off?

Yes. There is a dedicated sound button on the front, separate from the power button. You can drop the volume or cut it completely and every other part of the game keeps working exactly the same. It is the reason this one does not end up on a high shelf.

          check_box

          What are the game modes?

There is a speed round, where lit bubbles appear and you press them down before time runs out, and a memory round, where the bubbles light up in a pattern you have to repeat back in the right order. The mode switch on the front moves between them.

          check_box

How do you move up a level?

Clear the round, then push the raised cover on the back of the game. That is the confirmation button. The next level starts faster than the last one, which is what keeps kids chasing their own record instead of putting it down.

          check_box

          Does it come with batteries?

No, batteries are not included. Pick up a set at the same time, especially if this is going into a gift bag or a suitcase. Nothing flattens the moment like opening a game that cannot light up yet.

          check_box

Is it safe and easy to clean?

The body is ABS with soft silicone bubbles and it wipes down with a damp cloth. It does contain small parts and a battery compartment, so keep it away from children who still put things in their mouths, and supervise play.
